Emu in the Sky and Hunter in the Sky
Two Questacon publications containing Aboriginal stories about the day and night sky. A useful resource for teaching Astronomy or Aboriginal culture. Available from the Questacon Maths Squad (ph 0418 486 382) and the Questacon Shop (see below). The cost is $4.30 for Emu in the Sky. Hunter in the Sky is now out of print.

Family Math by Jean Kerr Stenmark, Virginia Thompson and Ruth Cossey
A book of hands-on activities. The activities are graded according to ability level needed and use everyday items and materials. Available from Objective Learning Materials (see below) for $44.75
An award-winning CD-ROM developed by Questacon, the ABC and Radiant productions. Five interactive missions exploring Australian scientific mysteries. Based on real situations, students face the same dilemmas and challenges as the actual scientists. Available for $50 from the Questacon Shop (see below).
A West Australian designed card game which is excellent for teaching students mental arithmetic and strategy. Works at many different levels. Basic game uses addition and the game can be extended to cover subtraction, multiplication, division and even the dreaded fractions. Teacher support materials available. All profits go to Alzheimers Association WA.
