Exhibition Description

Strike A Chord is an exhibition with considerable audience appeal as music is the universal language that speaks to everyone. Music, rhythm and dance are common to every culture on earth. Music is used as a means for representing the most sacred elements of living; playing a vital role in courtship, marriage, celebrations, death and cultural identity.

Strike a Chord explores the science of sound as vibrations, pitch, volume, ear physiology, musical phrasing, how instruments work, musical genres, singing, digital music, how sound is recorded and the psychology, sociological and ethnographical aspects of music.

This exhibition includes 24 interactive exhibits and requires 500m² of floor space.
