Music, rhythm and dance are common to every culture on earth. Music is used as a means for representing the most sacred elements of living; playing a vital role in courtship, marriage, celebrations, death and cultural identity. Strike a Chord explores the science of sound as vibrations, pitch, volume, ear physiology, musical phrasing, how instruments work, musical genres, singing, digital music, how sound is recorded and the psychology, sociological and ethnographical aspects of music.
