Your mission, if you choose to accept it is, to go undercover and delve into the top secret world of spy technology, as Questacon today opens its latest exhibition Top Secret: Licence to Spy.
Top Secret: Licence to Spy was jointly created by Scitech Discovery Centre in Perth and ScienceWorks in Melbourne and will be located in Questacon until early next year. The exhibition reveals the science and technology behind agents such as James Bond, Maxwell Smart and the Pink Panther.
Visitors become secret agents as they are taken on a journey through the history of spy technology into a future that most people can only imagine. Armed with a personalised mission file and disguise, the agent collects intelligence from 23 interactive exhibits incorporating codes, hidden cameras, laser beams and satellite technology.
Kids and adults alike will be amazed by this behind the scenes glimpse of an undercover world that has been re-created with life-like sets and activities science has never been so....Top Secret.
Questacon Director Professor Graham Durant said he is looking forward to becoming a spy himself as the exhibition opens today.
At Questacon we often share our exhibits with other centres across the country and the world. It is really great to see some of Scitech and ScienceWorks efforts displayed in our centre. Top Secret is a great exhibition where we can all explore the childhood fantasy of being a secret agent, Prof Durant said.
