The Prime Minister’s Prizes for Science are Australia’s pre-eminent annual awards for excellence in science and science teaching.
Award recipients will be announced at a black tie awards ceremony in the Great Hall of the Parliament House in Canberra.
The Prime Minister’s Prizes for Science are awarded annually for outstanding achievements in science and science teaching. Questacon is responsible for the administration of the Prime Minister’s Prizes for Science along with other National Initiatives.
The awards are Australia’s most prestigious awards in their fields and comprise:
- Prime Minister’s Prize for Science
- Malcolm McIntosh Prize for Physical Scientist of the Year
- Science Minister’s Prize for Life Scientist of the Year
- Prime Minister’s Prize for Excellence in Science Teaching in Primary Schools
- Prime Minister’s Prize for Excellence in Science Teaching in Secondary Schools
