APS Level 1 - Gallery Assistant
Visitor Experience - Several Positions

*Age rates applyDuties: The primary focus of this position is the following:
- Work in Questacon galleries on a range of exhibits, some of which require physical activity and good co-ordination.
- Communicate science concepts and Questacon's programmes to visitors.
- Support Volunteer Explainers in galleries.
- Provide orientation to visitors and manage visitor flow.
- Operate and communicate use of exhibits.
- Ensure all galleries and exhibits are clean and in working order.Note: The occupants of these positions will be required to wear and maintain their own Questacon uniform. A shirt will be supplied by Questacon on commencement.
Employment Details: These positions will be casual employment opportunities for a period of 18 months. Hours will vary between 8.30am and 9.15pm. Weekend, evening and public holiday work will also be required.

APS Level 4 - Outreach Presenter
Outreach Presenter - Position Number 87282

Salary: $51,745 - $54,683
Contact Officer: Ms Vanessa Gardos (02) 6126 2230Duties: The primary focus of this position will focus on the following:
- Develop and deliver science, maths, technology and innovation presentations.
- Liaise with teacher, students and community on the Questacon and linked programs.
- Provide open communication to all team members including the giving and receiving of feedback.
- Liaise with the Outreach team in Canberra, including producing activity reports..
- Carry out other activities as required in support of the Outreach programs.
- Work within Australian Government guidelines.Details of Employment: This is a non-ongoing full time position until December 2009, with the possibility of extension, working Monday to Friday 37.5 hours per week, with flexibility provided by the Questacon Collective Agreement to work weekends and Public holidays as required.

Eligibility
