Sponsorship

Inspiration is too important to leave to chance. That's why we make science and technology fun, interactive and relevant to hundreds of thousands of children and adults every year.

Join us in inspiring an Australian community switched on to science and technology. Help us create a scientifically engaged Australia—one that actively supports and participates in the sciences to ensure a prosperous and sustainable future for us all.

The range of sponsorship opportunities at Questacon is as wide as your imagination. Exhibitions that travel around the country, programs in regional and remote communities, activities reaching out from our building in Canberra and from the brand new Questacon Technology Learning Centre in the former Royal Australian Mint building are some of the many sponsorship opportunities at Questacon.

Questacon tailors sponsorship opportunities to the specific strategic objectives of each sponsor and partner, helping them to be a part of:

  • making science and technology more accessible in Australia for the benefit of the entire community
  • educating and inspiring tomorrow's scientists, technologists and innovators
  • helping Australia become a truly innovative society and strengthen the essential elements of a 21st century creative economy.

Logo - Shell"When Shell began its support of the Science Circus, we could not have predicted its longevity nor the benefits that would flow as a result of this long-term success; benefits to regional, rural and remote communities; to the more than 300 students who have graduated from the programme and to the teachers."

Following its sponsorship of Questacon's Imagination Factory—invent and play exhibition from 2007 to 2010, Raytheon Australia now sponsors the Schmidt Studio, which, via interactive video conferencing, enables Questacon to reach young inquiring minds in their own classrooms.

Logo - Raytheon"Raytheon is endowed with some of the smartest, most innovative and capable engineers in our industry. We are a technology and engineering company and are intimately aware of need to motivate young people to continue their studies in maths and science. Our involvement with Questacon is a significant step forward in encouraging children to understand science in everyday life so that they are inspired to continue into scientific careers."

In 2008, The National Water Commission and Questacon established a partnership for H20—Soak up the Science exhibition in Canberra, Our Water travelling exhibition and a secondary school program on water innovation and careers, components of an integrated national water education and awareness program.

Logo - National Water Commission"The National Water Commission's partnership with Questacon will contribute to an increased awareness of how science and innovation are critical to the management of Australia's water resources. Most importantly, the support we are providing to Questacon will inform many more young people about the science-based careers available in the water industry and encourage them to consider water-science related courses, professions and businesses."
