In 2019, INPEX and Questacon entered a 4-year partnership to engage young Australians in a conversation about energy, its use and the role it will play in the future. INPEX is a Japanese oil company that has projects in Australia.

This partnership aims to raise awareness of energy-related topics and increase energy literacy within Australian and Japanese communities. As a result of this partnership, we delivered energy shows, young person’s energy dialogues, teacher workshops and a Science Circus tour to Japan. Our ‘Your Energy’ videos explore questions about energy: Do you ever think about the energy we use every day? Questacon and INPEX champion the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals – focusing on SDG 7: ensure access to affordable, reliable, sustainable and modern energy for all – to highlight the sustainable development challenges faced by the global community as we progress towards the year 2030.
