Questacon Goes Viral

Questacon is BACK with an adults-only night like no other!

It’s the age of Lockdowns, QRs codes, and Masking up.

We’ve spent the year hearing of these ‘Unprecedented Times’ enough to set a precedent, pivoting to work from home arrangements at the drop of a hat, and promising to figure out how the unmute button works for our next meeting...

So to reward you for all those brisk nasal swabs, Questacon is teaming up with our friends from the Australia National University to inject some fun into this Pandemic. Come join us as we super-spread the science of vaccines, pandemics, and viral information.

You’ll take part in the 2021 Miss Information Pageant and vote on the best-worst way that people try and sell you information, join ANU researchers as they take us on an exploration of how vaccines work, and discover where Pandemics come from and what we have learned from them throughout history. And to top it all off our resident Liquid Nitrogen chefs are busy freezing up a Fizzy-Pfizzer-Spider* for you to try.

In addition, our researcher friends will be conducting some science on the night all around public health communication and attitudes – so if you’ve ever wanted a cool story about how some people wrote a paper about you once, come along and find out more!

This event is strictly 18+ and Bookings are essential. Tickets onsale now - https://premier.ticketek.com.au/shows/Show.aspx?sh=QUESTGV21
