Community Events

In our cyber-centred, hyper-connected, information technology focused world, we are beginning to lose the opportunity to make stuff. Questacon invites the Australian public to explore their innovative side at The Ian Potter Foundation Technology Learning Centre (IPTLC). The facility offers a range of activities and events for the general public and community groups that — with a spirit of curiosity, invention, and innovation — generates an atmosphere of creative exploration through technology and tinkering.

Torques

game developers talking about their process

On the 1st Wednesday of every month come along to meet local artists, engineers, designers, scientists and general creative types when they discuss their work and construction processes in the Torque: Revolving Ideas seminar series.

Be inspired by our speaker’s creativity and innovation as they share insights into the creative process and discuss how they brought their visions into a reality.

Each seminar revolves around a different discipline, topic, or technology, so come along and discuss the intersection of technology and art, and get carried away with Canberra’s vibrant maker culture.

Through discovering the works of others, you may just be tempted to pick that project off the backburner and bring it to life!
