Pat Elliott

I was born in Wangaratta in North-East Victoria, where the Ovens River meets the King River. Growing up I loved exploring nature. I collected cool science discoveries, like snake skins and interesting fungi. After watching Jurassic Park I wanted to be a paleontologist, so I buried some cow bones in my family’s paddock then dug them up a few days later. My favorite science was astronomy because I would often stargaze with my dad so I chose to study astronomy and physics at Monash University in Melbourne. When I was 23 I moved to Kalgoorlie-Boulder, Western Australia where I taught high-school science and mathematics and learned how much I love travelling Australia and talking about science. I can’t wait to learn more when travelling with the 2021 Questacon Science Circus Team.
