In February, Mr Takahashi, Executive of the Japan Science and Technology Agency (JST), visited Questacon. The visit provided a useful opportunity to affirm Questacon’s continuing cooperation with MiraikanIn March, the Japan Australia Robot Festival was held at Questacon with over 2000 visitors attending the festival. This final event in the 20th Anniversary Program was organised by NHK Enterprises in Japan and supported by the Japan-Australia Business Cooperation Committee, Japan Airlines Corporation and the Embassy of Japan in Australia. Teams of students from Kitakyusyu National College of Technology, Oita National College of Technology and Okinawa National College of Technology demonstrated robots that they designed and entered in Japan’s ROBOCON event. These winning robots were gifted to Questacon at a special ceremony on 16 March.In October, Professor Durant attended the Australian Academy of Science dinner for Mr Akira Takamatsu, Japan Science and technology Agency (JAXA).
