Teachers in Canberra and surrounding areas – get ready to immerse your students in STEM with another exciting unit from Questacon! Catching the Wind: Designing Windmills is an inquiry-based unit that explores mechanical engineering concepts for primary school students.
This free in-person, interactive professional development workshop will introduce the engineering design process while exploring how windmills function and the work of mechanical engineers. We will guide you through this unit of work, providing an opportunity to step into the shoes of your students through hands-on activities. After taking this workshop, teaching mechanical engineering will be a breeze!
