If you have pre-booked tickets to visit Questacon and are no longer able to attend due to COVID-19 travel restrictions or you have been in an affected area, please email with a copy of your Ticketek booking confirmation (ahead of your booked session) to request a refund of your tickets.

We ask that you do not attend Questacon if you are from, or have been in, a COVID‑19 affected area.

Please note that we are currently experiencing a large volume of emails and we will reply to each request as soon as we can.

For information about current Public Health Directions in the ACT visit ACT Health.

Our doors are now open for 2-hour timed sessions to inspire your imagination with the world of science and technology.

Tickets must be pre-booked online for all visitors in your group, including babies and children. We recommend booking early as tickets for each session are limited.

All sessions have sold out for the April School Holidays. Tickets are available from 19 April.

For our COVID-19 safety measures and Frequently Asked Questions please click here.

Sessions run hourly from 9am each day. The last session starts at 3pm and Questacon closes at 5pm. Each session includes allocated time in 5 galleries and live science demonstrations.

Mini Q, Excite@Q including Free Fall, and the usual activities in The Shed remain closed for now.

Galleries and experiences included in each 2-hour session:

Each gallery will be open for a specific time during each session. As each group moves through a gallery, that space will close for cleaning before the next group arrives.

Signage in each gallery shows how to safely interact with our exhibits. Some exhibits can only be activated by our staff and others can be used by visitors, with safety precautions in place.

We have a number of audio experiences and apps you can download to enhance your Questacon experience. If you don’t have your own device during your visit, our team can demonstrate how these apps work.

Our friendly and knowledgeable staff will be available in each gallery to help you make the most of your visit!
