If you have pre-booked tickets to visit Questacon and are no longer able to attend due to COVID-19 travel restrictions or you have been in an affected area, please email info@questacon.edu.au with a copy of your Ticketek booking confirmation (ahead of your booked session) to request a refund of your tickets. We will reply to each request as soon as we can.

We ask that you do not attend Questacon if you are from, or have been in, a COVID‑19 affected area.

For information about current Public Health Directions in the ACT visit ACT Health.

Our doors are open for 2-hour timed sessions to inspire your imagination with the world of science and technology.

Tickets must be pre-booked online for all visitors in your group, including babies and children. We recommend booking early as tickets for each session are limited.

Sessions run hourly from 9am each day. The last session starts at 3pm and Questacon closes at 5pm. Each session includes allocated time in 5 galleries and live science demonstrations.

Excite@Q including Free Fall, and the usual activities in The Shed remain closed for now.

Mini Q has reopened with limited sessions. Pre-booked tickets are essential (additional fees apply). For now, the Mini Q experience will be separate to general admission sessions. Please visit our Mini Q page for more information.

Galleries and experiences included in each 2-hour session:

Each gallery will be open for a specific time during each session. As each group moves through a gallery, that space will close for cleaning before the next group arrives.

Signage in each gallery shows how to safely interact with our exhibits. Some exhibits can only be activated by our staff and others can be used by visitors, with safety precautions in place.

We have a number of audio experiences and apps you can download to enhance your Questacon experience. If you don’t have your own device during your visit, our team can demonstrate how these apps work.

Our friendly and knowledgeable staff will be available in each gallery to help you make the most of your visit!

Mini Q – Fun for 0 – 6 year olds

3 in Fun Ticket Discontinued

For over 20 years the 3infun ticket has been the best way to experience 3 of Canberra’s favourite attractions. Cockington Green, the Australian Institute of Sport and Questacon – The National Science and Technology Centre have offered engaging experiences and provided many thousands of visitors with enduring memories.

It is with sadness we announce the 3infun ticket will no longer be available to purchase. Our attractions are operating differently since the COVID-19 pandemic, and this has made it difficult to continue the ticket in its current offering.

All tickets must be redeemed by 31 December, 2021. Tickets presented after this date will not be valid for redemption or a refund.

Thank you to all past ticket holders for choosing 3infun as their choice for entertainment and engagement in Canberra.
