Your visit to Questacon

Questacon is open daily from 9 am – 5 pm (except 25 December).

To guarantee a visit to Questacon, please pre-book your tickets online. To ensure a comfortable experience for our visitors and staff, we have introduced timed entry to Questacon. Visitor numbers are limited and tickets can sell out quickly, particularly on weekends and during school holidays.

Free Fall (our 6.7 metre giant slide) is currently closed. We are working on COVID safe ways to bring this experience back soon.

Visit our Galleries page to learn more about what you can see and do during your visit. We have a number of audio experiences and apps you can download to enhance your Questacon experience.

Mini Q – Fun for 0 – 6 year olds

Health and safety is our priority

To help make this a safe experience, we have implemented COVID-19 safety measures including:

  • Limited numbers of people who can attend each session
  • Physical distancing floor markers and other awareness signage
  • Signage in each gallery that shows how to safely interact with our exhibits. Some exhibits can only be activated by our staff and others can be used by visitors
  • Hand sanitiser stations located throughout the building
  • Regular and extra cleaning procedures
  • Face masks worn by Questacon staff

How you can help:

  • Follow directions from our staff
  • Physical distance. Ensure you maintain a distance of at least 1.5m from other people
  • Practice good hygiene. Wash your hands well with soap and water and use the provided hand sanitiser located around the Centre.
  • Consider wearing a mask. Masks can help protect you and those around you.
  • Stay home. Do not come to Questacon if you are unwell or have been advised by health authorities to self-isolate or quarantine.
