About

National Reconciliation Week (NRW) is a time for all Australians to learn about our shared histories, cultures, and achievements, and to explore how each of us can contribute to achieving reconciliation in Australia.

Questacon acknowledges First Nations people as the Traditional Custodians and first Scientists, Makers and Innovators of this land and their continuing connection to Country. During National Reconciliation Week we celebrate the Knowledge and Culture of First Nations people and encourage our visitors to join us.

In Q Lab we are highlighting First Nations knowledge of emus, including how First Nations peoples utilise Sky Country to understand the process of collecting eggs.

You can catch a story time session accompanied by finger puppets and puzzle activities. We have colouring and wordsearch sheets for you to complete or take home and share, and in the Centre, you can learn about First Nation’s STEM Champions and their inspiring work.
