About

The Great Barrier Reef is one of the world’s natural wonders and is the largest coral reef on Earth.

Using a virtual reality headset, you can dive into the world’s largest reef and learn about its amazing biodiversity, as well as some of the challenges it is facing, and how the government is addressing these threats using the latest science innovations.

It’s the best way to visit the Reef without getting wet!

Staff from the Australian Governments Reef Trust team will be attending to showcase this exciting interactive Great Barrier Reef experience.

The Reef Trust is Australia’s investment program to protect and manage the Great Barrier Reef. The Reef Trust provides innovative and targeted investment to protect the Reef from its greatest threats.

The Great Barrier Reef Marine Park Reef Guardian School Program will be there too, running an activity where you can learn how to identify different turtle species.

The Reef Guardian School Program enables the next generation of young leaders to become stewards of the reef, by understanding the threats to its sustainable future, and their role in protecting it. Reef Guardians care and undertake positive actions within their school and local community that contribute to reef protection and resilience. The program empowers students to learn about the increasing threats to reefs worldwide, and how they can take action to improve the future for all coral reefs.
