About
INTERSECT, Darwin’s STEM Educator Network, invites educators, artists, and STEM professionals to come together to explore the intersection of art and science in education. Hosted once again at the Museum and Art Gallery of the NT (MAGNT), INTERSECT provides a unique opportunity to explore how to bring creativity and curiosity into your classroom or workshop.
Hear from local artists and scientists, including Emma-Louise Lupin, who recently undertook a Churchill Fellowship exploring educational programs that support the exchange of cultural plant knowledge with a focus on dye plants.
The evening will also feature a collaborative design challenge to build partnerships, spark ideas, and generate tangible outcomes that educators can apply directly to their teaching.
After the event (from 6:30pm onwards) you are invited to join the network for an informal gathering and dinner at the Ski Club (opposite MAGNT).
INTERSECT is delivered in collaboration with the Museum and Art Gallery of the Northern Territory, Charles Darwin University’s Radicle Centre, the Science Teachers Association of the NT, the STEAM Teachers Association of the NT and Art Educators of the NT. The Ichthys Joint Venture is MAGNT's Corporate Education Partner.
Questacon Educator Programs are supported by Diamond Partner, Department of Defence.
