About

In this FREE workshop you will:

  • Get hands-on with ocean engineering and activities from ‘Taking the Plunge: Designing Submersibles' unit of work.
  • Develop innovative teaching strategies and gain valuable experience to teach STEM content and skills.
  • Gain confidence to teach STEM in your classroom through the Engineering Design Process.

After the workshop, we will send you a free resource kit and unit of work so you can run Engineering is Elementary in your classroom. You’ll also be connected to a national community of practice for ongoing support and collaboration.  

Things to know

  • This workshop is a two-part series; to complete the workshop make sure you attend both part 1 and part 2. Each of the sessions are 1.5 hours. 
  • You can sign-up to one of the two available groups – see session times below.
  • Engineering is Elementary units are designed for primary educators; however, they can be adapted for secondary school or other settings.
  • Workshops are listed in AEST time zone. Please check what time zone you are in and adjust accordingly.
  • Workshops will be delivered via Microsoft Teams.   
  • Workshops are FREE but applications are essential as places are limited!
