Wondering where maths is relevant to everyday life? We got you. This webinar highlights some of the rules, patterns and formula that govern the shapes animals and plants take and how we can use what we observe to learn more about our universe. You’ll make your own Fibonacci flower and begin a 3-d fractal sculpture you can combine with your classmates and beyond.
We’ll guide participants through experiments using simple materials, while collecting their hypotheses and ideas through interactive polls and Q&A functions.
Teachers will receive a resource guide that outlines the key concepts covered in the webinar, as well as some simple classroom activities which can be completed live during the webinar and extended at a later date to support existing lesson plans.
Suitable for years 7-10. 30 min duration.
Our webinars have live-captioning available through Zoom.
