Wandering with Whales – A July school holiday puppet show 

Where are the whales going, and why? Become a scientist and let's discover together how and why whales migrate and how to study them in the wild - What can we learn from whale-snot? Come discover Australia’s amazing humpback whales and have a whale of a time!

Come travel aboard our special Blue Door Room research ship: The InQuestigator and become a scientist in Wandering with Whales, presented by Questacon’s Excited Particles team. This interactive puppet show takes audiences on a finfilled adventure as part of a scientific mission to find, follow and learn about whales.

This show will be on in the Blue Door Room at 10.15 am, 11.15 am and 12.15 pm every day from 4 to 19 July 2026, weekdays and weekends.

  • This show is suitable for children ages 3-6 and their families.
  • Non-Members must purchase a General Admission ticket for Questacon entry.
  • There is no additional charge for the show.
  • Doors open 5 minutes before the show starts.
  • No booking required, but seating is limited so early arrival is recommended.
